Governor Adeleke sets record straight on Freedom Park, exposes APC's lies, propaganda

Image
The attention of the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Dr. Bunmi Jenyo has been drawn to a frivolous, unfounded and unthinking social media post, that the State government led by Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has sold the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park. The assertion is not only ridiculous, it is also barbaric. It is indeed the figment of imagination of the enemy of Osun State, who have failed in their many attempts to blackmail, malign and disrepute the personality and good governance of the State Governor, especially in the economic sector.  The opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) with no blueprint, agenda or ideas about effective governance should, ordinarily be ignored but this is to set the record straight, once and for all. The Nelson Mandela Freedom Park sits on the landed property of Federal Government, Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), but developed by the government of Osun State under Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesol...

I don’t believe people are stalked because they are expected to win a lottery. This is clear political hounding.” Reacting to insinuations about his personal life, the NLC Chair refuted suggestions of “frolicking with women of easy virtues,” stressing that not everyone shares the “everyday customs” of APC members. Osun LG Funds: Criminal Trial Against UBA Officials Commences

Image
Efforts by APC court-sacked chairmen to stop the trial of top officials of the United Bank for Africa failed today as the Magistrate's Court has commenced criminal proceedings against the bank officials. The Yes/No chairmen had attempted to intimidate the Magistrate and the Judiciary by hosting a demonstration on behalf of the UBA despite clear law provisions and judicial authorities that criminal trials cannot be stopped for any reason. Section 306 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 has expressly prohibited a stay of proceedings in criminal matters. This position was also supported by Section 40 of the EFCC Act. The Supreme Court (e.g., Metuhv.FRN) had further held  that no court can grant a stay of proceedings, emphasizing the need for speedy justice. These provisions also support Section 36 (4) 1999 Constitution requirement for fair hearing within a reasonable time. At the resumption of hearing today, the UBA boycotted the proceedings and the C...

RE: ALLEGED PLOT TO UNDERMINE ELECTORAL INTEGRITY IN OSUN STATE

Image
The Osun Grassroot Movement (OGM) has received credible intelligence regarding a calculated and clandestine plot by elements within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to manipulate the forthcoming electoral process in Osun State.  Central to these disturbing developments is the reported transfer of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, alongside alleged moves to deploy compromised electoral mechanisms to Osun state aimed at subverting the will of the people. We view these actions as a direct affront to democracy and a dangerous attempt to disenfranchise the good people of Osun State through backdoor tactics and institutional compromise. Such maneuvers, if left unchecked, pose a grave threat to peace, stability, and democratic consolidation in the state. The Osun Grassroot Movement hereby issues a firm and unequivocal warning to APC gladiators and their collaborators.  Osun State is not a theatre for electoral manipulation. Any attempt to rig, dist...

Osun 2026 Political Map is Firmly in Favour of Adeleke, Adeleke Campaign Organisation Replies Wole Oke, Osun APC

Image
The Osun APC campaign organisation alongside its Director General, Wole Oke are living in the old world as Osun 2026 political map is fully and firmly in favour of Governor Ademola Adeleke and his party, Accord with old APC bases now Accord strongholds. The Adeleke Campaign Organisation made the assertion while refuting statements credited to Hon. Wole Oke who claimed that since the governor won with only 28,000 in 2022 and since he and others had since defected, the APC will win the state in August. Describing the postulations as mere fantasy without grounding in reality, the governor's campaign group said the Osun political map across the nine federal constituencies have shifted significantly from the 2022 allegiance pattern, predicting that the governor will win the August election with a margin of over 200,000 votes. While slamming Oke for his anti-party activities against Governor Adeleke in the 2022 polls, the governor's campaign group declared that the exit o...

Between Results and Rhetoric: Why Osun Voters Are Rallying Behind Adeleke

Image
By Comrade Samakin Abdul-Jeleel Abbiodun  As the countdown to the 2026 governorship election in Osun State gathers momentum, the political atmosphere is tilting to favor Governor Ademola Adeleke. On one side stands the All Progressives Congress (APC), a party many people describe as increasingly defined by noise, attacks, and recycled narratives of peddling falsehoods. On the other side is the administration of Ademola Adeleke; an administration widely regarded by good people of Osun as people-focused, transparent, and development-driven. Over the past three years, the APC’s political strategy has largely revolved around criticism, misinformation and personal attacks rather than presenting a clear, actionable agenda for the future of Osun State. Public engagements by its leaders often echo the same pattern; condemnation without constructive alternatives. For a party seeking to regain public trust, this absence of a compelling vision raises serious concerns about its rea...
