GOVERNOR ADELEKE GREETS OSUN ACCORD CHAIRMAN AT 50


The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated the Chairman of Accord in the state, Pastor Victor Akande, on the occasion of his 50th birthday, hailing him as a good source of strength in the charge to move Osun forward.

Governor Adeleke recognises the party's chief sense of purpose and consensus building initiatives, which has not only unified the Accord in Osun but also strengthen public interest in the party, praising him for showing leadership when it mattered the most in the Osun Accord.

The Governor lauds the celebrant for being pragmatic and taking initiatives that will advance the interest of Accord in Osun state, noting that Accord has become a household name in Osun state under his leadership.

"On this day, I join family, friends and well-wishers to celebrate a versatile party administrator, Pastor Victor Akande, on the occasion of his 50th birthday. Pastor Akande is a true reflection of dedication, offering the best of capabilities to make things work for the better," Governor Adeleke noted in a congratulatory message.

"Under Pastor Akande, Accord has flourished and emerged as the party of choice for Osun people. I value so much his insights and perspectives on issues just as I respect his willingness to make sacrifices for the greater good whenever he is called upon."

Governor Adeleke prays to God Almighty to grant the celebrant many happy returns of the day and to continue to strengthen his resolve to sustain contributions to the attainment of better Osun state in whatever capacity he found himself.

Court restrains UBA from paying out Osun LG allocations

An Oyo State High Court on Friday, 26 September, 2025 restrained the United Bank for Africa (UBA) from paying out any money from accounts opened in the names of the 30 Local Governments in Osun State by the court-sacked All Progressives Congress Local Government Chairmen and councillors.  The order has been served on the bank. The Federal Government on Friday released the seized allocations of each of the 30 Local Governments into the controversial new accounts, a decision the state government took to court in suit number 1/1149/25.  The case which was heard Ex-parte on Friday by Justice A.L.
