Stop All Activities of NURTW In All Motor Parks In Osun State – Adeleke Directs Police

The Osun State Security Council Meeting was held today, the meeting which was chaired by the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Exellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, was attended by the Police, both from the State Command and Zone 11, representatives of DSS, Army, Air Force Navy, Civil Defense, NDLEA, Immigration, Correctional Service, FRSC, NAPTIP, WNSN -AMOTEKUN, the Deputy Governor, the COS, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and the Special Adviser on Security Matters.
After a thorough deliberation about the current security situation in Osun State and in order to bring sanity back to all the parks in the state, the Governor has directed the Police and other security agencies to put a stop to all activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) forthwith in all our motor parks across the state. This order is putting a stop to collection of all levies in our parks.
The Governor further direct the Police and other security agents to arrest anybody that is parading himself as official/Executive of the union in any of our park.
The Governor States "I hereby direct the Police and other security agents to stop all activities of the union in all our parks across the state, I'm not saying you should close the parks, but you should not allow anyone to operate in the parks in the name of the union in our parks. Anyone found contravening this order should be arrested for possible prosecution for disturbance of public peace "
In response, all the Security Commanders present assured the Governor of strict compliance with the order.
The Governor also direct immediate establishment of the Rapid Response squad which will consist of all the security agents in the state that will ensure the compliance with the directive.
