2026 Campaign: Odo-Otin Speaks with One Voice as Massive Crowds Declares Support for Governor Adeleke's Re-Election


▪️Traditional Rulers Offer Royal Blessings

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke's second-term campaign gained further momentum on Wednesday, as Odo-Otin Local Government witnessed one of the largest political gatherings of the 2026 governorship campaign.

Thousands of enthusiastic supporters thronged every community visited by the Governor in a resounding show of support for his re-election bid.

From Okuku, Oyan, Inisa, Asi, Ekusa, Igbaye, Ekosin, Ijabe, Agbeye, Elemosho, Elemade and Opete, residents poured onto the streets in unprecedented numbers, chanting solidarity songs and declaring their resolve to return Governor Adeleke for a second term in the August 15 governorship election.

The electrifying campaign tour transformed Odo-Otin into a sea of supporters as the people openly reaffirmed their confidence in Governor Adeleke's administration.

They also declared that they had rejected the APC and its governorship candidate ahead of the polls.

Addressing the mammoth crowds at various campaign stops, Governor Adeleke appreciated the overwhelming reception and assured the people that his administration will sustain the tempo of development across Odo-Otin and the entire state if returned to office.

The Governor highlighted several completed and ongoing projects across Odo-Otin Local Government, noting that his administration has fulfilled its promise of extending development beyond urban centres to rural communities.

Governor Adeleke further reminded the enthusiastic crowds that the ongoing dualization of the Osogbo-Ikirun Road is designed to pass through Odo-Otin Local Government and continue to Ila-Odo on the Osun-Kwara boundary.

He described the project as another landmark infrastructure investment that will unlock economic opportunities, improve connectivity, and further transform the local government.

His Excellency assured the people that, with a renewed mandate on August 15, his administration would consolidate ongoing projects and deliver even greater dividends of democracy across Odo-Otin and the entire state.

"Our administration believes that every community deserves quality infrastructure and equal opportunities. We have demonstrated our commitment through the projects we have delivered, and by the grace of God, when you renew our mandate on August 15, we will do even more for Odo-Otin and every part of Osun State," the Governor.

The campaign also received a significant boost from the traditional institution as royal fathers across Odo-Otin Local Government Area unanimously offered prayers for Governor Adeleke's victory and pledged their continued support for his re-election.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, Oba Samuel Abioye Oyebode Oluronke II, the Olokuku of Okuku and Chairman of the Odo-Otin Traditional Council, commended Governor Adeleke for his developmental strides and people-centred leadership.

He prayed for divine guidance, victory, and greater success in the forthcoming governorship election.

Other royal fathers who joined in offering royal blessings and pledging their support included Oba Kilani Oyedare Adekeye, the Oloyan of Oyan; Oba Joseph Oladunjoye Oyedele (Fasikun II), the Olunisa of Inisa; Oba Isaac Oyewale, the Alasi of Asi; Oba John Omoloso Mokanjuola Oyelusi III, the Elekusa of Ekusa; Oba Adebayo Okeyode, the Orangun of Igbaye; Oba Kasali Olagunsoye, the Akosin of Ekosin; Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, the Onijabe of Ijabe; Oba Oyekanmi, the Alagbeye of Agbeye; Oba Jimoh Babatunde, the Elemosho of Elemosho; Oba Adegboyega Oyetunji, the Elemade of Elemade; and Oba Matthew Adebayo, the Olupete of Opete.

The monarchs collectively lauded Governor Adeleke's performance in office, describing his administration as one that has delivered visible dividend of democracy across Osun State.

They prayed for his victory in the August 15 governorship election and assured him of the continued support of their respective communities.
