Her Excellency Amb Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, Wife of Osun Governor, received Noble Handshake Award in humanitarian services
I was honoured at the United Nations Women Foundation Summit and Award Ceremony in commemoration of International Women's Day CSW70, 2026, held at the Drew Centre, New York City, United States.
I received the Noble Handshake Award in recognition of my outstanding humanitarian services as the Mother of Osun State and Founder of the Esther Adeleke Humanitarian Foundation, for a job well done for humanity and for advancing women’s influence across the globe.
This honour was received alongside several distinguished international honorees, including Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim; Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Tolani Alli of the World Bank, Kingsley Ighobor of the United Nations; Amara Sheikh Mohammed, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the United States, and Padmini Murthy of the American Medical Women’s Association, and a host of others.
This recognition further strengthens my commitment to continue serving humanity, uplifting the vulnerable, and empowering women and youths for a brighter and more inclusive future.
