Her Excellency Amb Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, Wife of Osun Governor, received Noble Handshake Award in humanitarian services


I was honoured at the United Nations Women Foundation Summit and Award Ceremony in commemoration of International Women's Day  CSW70, 2026, held at the Drew Centre, New York City, United States.

I received the Noble Handshake Award in recognition of my outstanding humanitarian services as the Mother of Osun State and Founder of the Esther Adeleke Humanitarian Foundation, for a job well done for humanity and for advancing women’s influence across the globe.

This honour was received alongside several distinguished international honorees, including Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim; Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Tolani Alli of the World Bank, Kingsley Ighobor of the United Nations; Amara Sheikh Mohammed, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the United States, and Padmini Murthy of the American Medical Women’s Association, and a host of others.

This recognition further strengthens my commitment to continue serving humanity, uplifting the vulnerable, and empowering women and youths for a brighter and more inclusive future.

The Grassroots Media Team today played host to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, a distinguished legal luminary, public interest advocate, and frontline House of Representatives aspirant for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency. Barrister Olajengbesi, an Abuja-based legal practitioner of repute, widely read columnist, and the Convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates in Nigeria, was received with great enthusiasm by members of the team. Court restrains UBA from paying out Osun LG allocations

An Oyo State High Court on Friday, 26 September, 2025 restrained the United Bank for Africa (UBA) from paying out any money from accounts opened in the names of the 30 Local Governments in Osun State by the court-sacked All Progressives Congress Local Government Chairmen and councillors.  The order has been served on the bank. The Federal Government on Friday released the seized allocations of each of the 30 Local Governments into the controversial new accounts, a decision the state government took to court in suit number 1/1149/25.  The case which was heard Ex-parte on Friday by Justice A.L.
