ADELEKE GENERAL SUMMIT CONVENES EMERGENCY MEETING, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO ACCORD MEMBERSHIP DRIVE






…Pledges Strong Support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Re-election Bid

The Adeleke General Summit yesterday, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, convened an emergency meeting, commencing at 3:45 PM, with a renewed focus on strengthening the Accord Party membership registration drive and consolidating grassroots structures across the state.

The meeting was formally declared open by the BOT Chairman, Honourable Lukman Afolabi, who warmly welcomed members and commended the  dedication demonstrated by the various support groups toward the continued growth and success of the movement.

In his address, he highlighted the urgency of intensified engagement, emphasizing that only through collective commitment, strategic mobilization, and unity of purpose can the desired victory be achieved in the forthcoming 2026 Governorship election. He reiterated that the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke remains paramount, urging members to stay focused, consistent, and proactive in all their engagements.

The session was further enriched by a courtesy visit from the Majority Leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Akogun Kofoworola, who encouraged members to adopt a more deliberate and results-driven approach to the ongoing membership registration exercise. He highlighted the critical importance of accurate data collection and proper documentation, noting that a credible and verifiable membership database is essential for electoral success.

During deliberations, it was resolved that the Adeleke General Summit would be assigned a unique identification code to ensure a seamless, coordinated, and efficient membership card registration process across all units.

Members were also charged to intensify grassroots mobilization within their respective wards and local government areas, with a view to expanding the movement through increased participation in the registration exercise.

To support this initiative, Engr. Akinmade delivered a practical session, providing clear guidance on effective registration procedures while emphasizing strict adherence to established guidelines and standards.

The meeting concluded on a positive and inspiring note with a closing prayer offered by a member, after which participants reaffirmed their commitment and pledged maximum support toward securing victory for Governor Ademola Adeleke in the 2026 governorship election.

Court restrains UBA from paying out Osun LG allocations

An Oyo State High Court on Friday, 26 September, 2025 restrained the United Bank for Africa (UBA) from paying out any money from accounts opened in the names of the 30 Local Governments in Osun State by the court-sacked All Progressives Congress Local Government Chairmen and councillors.  The order has been served on the bank. The Federal Government on Friday released the seized allocations of each of the 30 Local Governments into the controversial new accounts, a decision the state government took to court in suit number 1/1149/25.  The case which was heard Ex-parte on Friday by Justice A.L.
