Adeleke's Spokesperson Slams APC, Says Infra Projects are Inclusive and Evenly Spread

Only a failed party like the Osun state All Progressives Congress (APC) will deny Infrastructure growth at Ilesa, Ile Ife, Osogbo, Iwo, Ikirun,Ila and other major areas of Osun state, Spokesperson to the state governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed has declared.

Responding to Osun APC criticism of the Adeleke administration, the spokesperson said the APC is in political depression and embarrassment over passionate  accolades for the governor from several towns and villages over his commendable sense of equity and fairness in the design and implementation of integrated infrastructure projects across the state.

“ The Obalufon of Ile Ife has just commended Governor Adeleke for the N14 billion naira flyover and dualisation projects at Ile Ife, praising the governor for rescuing the source of Yoruba race from global shame due to neglect, abandonment and maltreatment by previous governments. The Ile Ife people listed over 14 other roads executed by the Adeleke administration.

“ The Ijesha elders and elites are dialy pouring encomiums on Mr Governor for several infrastructure and educational projects including the concuded dualisation of palace to brewery junction in addition to Ilesa now becoming a university town. Ijeshas count Mr Governor as one of their own as the ongoing airport project at Akoda is also located on sections of Ijeshaland.

“ The people of Iwo are creating audiovisuals to express gratitude to the governor who is rebuilding Iwo Central business districts at the heart of the Town and at the Odoori regional market through an ongoing multi-routed dualisation project. They were pleasantly surprised that the governor has constructed over eight roads among other infra projects.

“From Ikirun to Ila Odo, the joy of the public is self-evident. Ikirun people hail the governor for the ongoing dualisation from Ikirun going to the border with Kwara. While APC neglected Ikirun to focus on backside roads outside Ikirun, the governor embraced rhe dream of Ikirun people.

“At Ila Orangun and Igbomina area generally, the governor initiated a modernisation, executing the first dualisation of road in the area alongside several other completed roads projects. A multi-billion naira water dam project to serve the Igbomina area is already nearing completion.

“ For Osogbo, the transformation is acknowledged by even foes of the administration. Osogbo has witnessed extensive infra transformation. Additonally, the governor is actualisaing the dream of expanded capital territory in a multi town arrangements.

“As more people and businesses move to Osogbo, the governor is dualising Osogbo to Ido Osun and and Ifetedo. Same us being done to Abere and Owode, both settlements with high influx of residents in recent years. Mr Governor never discriminated when it comes to development”, the Spokesperson explained.

Condemning the state APC for pushing to hold Osun from developing, the spokesperson wondered why and how the state APC is comfortable with Osun being the only state in the South West without a airport, declaring that “from all indications, Osun APC is anti-development.

“ Osun APC failed to deliver a airport for 12 years and the party is now working hard and even shamelessly canvassing for the state not to have a cargo and commercial airport to service her free trade zones and the transport and the logistics needs of our people.

“Osun APC acted ferociously against state interest by blocking Osun airport development. The party from its statement confirmed this anti-state action and its evil determination to keep Osun down in the area of aerospace development.

“Osun people know as a matter of fact that Ido Osun remains an airstrip housing the airforce training centre and the proposed airstrip by the Federal Government. There is no change to that reality.

“We nust clarify that the present administration is committed to expanding the transport and logistics capacity of Osun state across all transport modes. This administration is breaking the jinx of under-development. The Governor is committed to delivering a befitting airport to Osun people within the bound of law and due process”, the spokesperson was quoted as saying.

He urged the public to disregard the ranting of thw Osun APC, a sunk party with single digit approval rating, with fatal hemorrhage, with an unelectable candidate and the most hated political party in Osun history.

Signed:
Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the State Governor.
