I warmly rejoice with the good people of Osun State as we step into this beautiful month of October, a month of blessings, progress, and new opportunities.

May this month usher in peace, prosperity, and greater accomplishments for every household across our dear State and Nigeria at large.

On this historic day, I also join millions of compatriots in celebrating Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary. This remarkable milestone reminds us of our resilience as a people and the boundless possibilities that lies ahead when we stand united in love, service, and patriotism.

As we honour the labour of our heroes past, may we all continue to contribute to building a stronger, more peaceful, Secured and more prosperous Nigeria.

IGP Egbetokun Conniving with Oyetola and Osun APC to assassinate Adeleke, PDP alleges

The leadership of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun of hobnobbing with the opposition All Progressives Congress to assassinate the state governor, Ademola Adeleke amid the crisis surrounding control of local government areas in the state. Addresing a press conference at the PDP secretariat in Osogbo, the party chairman, Sunday Bisi, alleged that Egbetokun gave sacked local government chairmen under the platform of APC security cover to take control of councils, saying the development was part of the plot to “get rid” of Governor Adeleke. The empowerment initiatives tagged "Asendo / Imole Empowerment" entail: (1) 30 refrigerators: 15 to be shared for the 15 Vice-Chairmen and 15 ward secretaries.
