ORMA Resumes Inspection and Maintenance of Roads together with its Rehabilitation across Osun State
The Osun Road Maintenance Agency (ORMA) Project Committee resumed its inspections since September to assess ongoing road rehabilitation and spot patching efforts across the state under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke. These inspections form part of the commitment of the administration to improving road infrastructure for smoother transportation and community development.
Led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Osun Road Maintenance Agency, Hon. Seyi Babatunde, alongside General Manager of the Agency, Engr. Adebayo Azeez and Director of Operations, Engr. Oladipupo, the team visited key project sites.
One notable visit was to the ongoing rehabilitation of Agric Bus Stop, Christ Way Church and Ile Funfun Road in Ile-Ife. The first two phases of this project span approximately 468 meters and are poised to enhance access to seven communities and boost local development and ease of commerce.
Furthermore, the team reviewed the palliative works on Old Omi Eran Road in Ilesa as well as spot patching along Dele-Yes-Sir, Oke Fia Dual Carriageway in Osogbo and Spot patching on critical failed sections on Capital - Awosuru - First Bank, Aregbe Bus Stop, Osogbo.
ORMA has also completed desilting operations to clear blocked drains along major roads in Osogbo, Ede, Ikirun, Ila Orangun, Ile-Ife, Iree and Iragbiji townships* respectively in order to ensure improved drainage and reducing road damage.
As part of its broader mission, ORMA, which was established to address the pressing road maintenance needs in Osun, continues to focus on sustainable road infrastructure. The agency, under the Special Adviser Hon. Seyi Babatunde, remains committed to delivering safe, reliable and well-maintained roads that serve the long-term needs of the state’s residents and businesses.
