Osun: Gov. Adeleke's Impressive Achievements Draw Foreign Investors



...As Akinloye Meets Isreali Ambassador On Enhancing State Agriculture, Digital Technology and Economic Growth

The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen  Adeleke, has taken significant strides in boosting the state's economy through agriculture, digital technology, and health, among others. His outstanding performance has attracted foreign investors, including Israel, to partner with the State on Agriculture, Digital Technology and Health Sectors for development. 

In a recent meeting, the Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Olaniyi Simeon Akinloye met with Israeli Ambassador, His Excellency, Amb. Micheal Freeman to discuss potential collaborations. The meeting, which was held in Abuja on Thursday during a cocktail party in honour of Mrs Florence Osuji's retirement from Isreali embassy in Nigeria, aimed to explore ways to enhance Agricultural Production, Digital Technology and Health Development in Osun State.

Mrs Florence Osuji, before her retirement, has served in good capacity at the Israeli embassy in Nigeria with her selfless service.

When delivering the State Governor’s, His Excellency, message to the Ambassador of Isreal in Nigeria, Hon. Olaniyi Akinloye stressed that Governor Adeleke's administration has demonstrated a commitment to revitalizing the Agricultural Sector in line with the best practices of AI, Digital Technology and Marketing, Health and Social Development, recognizing its potential as a key driver of Economic Growth. 

Hon. Akinloye emphasized that the partnership with Israel is expected to bring in cutting-edge technology, expertise and investment to the sectors.

In his response, Amb. Micheal Freeman expressed his readiness to meet His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen  Adeleke of Osun State and to ensure collaboration with Isreali government in bringing more development to the State of the Living Spring .

Freeman also promise his availability at the upcoming Osun State industrial investment summit, which will hold in September 2024 and also to bring more investors to the State. 

This collaboration is poised to transform Osun State's Agricultural Landscape productively, creating jobs in Digital Technology and increasing Food Security, Healthcare Service with exploration of the attached value chains which will enhance more Revenue Generation   for the State.

When giving his goodwill message, Akinloye appreciated the contributions of the State Commissioner for Industry and Commerce; Rev. Bunmi Jenyo and Osun State Industrial Investment Summit Consultant, Prince Awelewa, assuring their respective supports to Isreali Ambassador whenever the need arise.

Governor Adeleke's performance has sent a strong signal to the International Community about Osun State readiness for Investment and Partnership. The meeting with Amb. Freeman, the Special Assistant to the Governor, Akinloye, marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration that will elevate the State's Economy productively.

FHA ED, Remi Omowaiye in Trouble over N150m MIST Fund Fraud

Former Commissioner for Works and the current Executive Director at the Federal Housing Authority, Remi Omowaiye is in fresh trouble over an alleged N150m MIST fund fraud when he served as the maiden Commissioner for the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Aregbesola administration. Feelers from the state government indicated that shocking details were uncovered on the FHA director during a contract review process on which he was already penciled down over a particular road contract. The leadership of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun of hobnobbing with the opposition All Progressives Congress to assassinate the state governor, Ademola Adeleke amid the crisis surrounding control of local government areas in the state.
