Osun 2023: OSUN WEST SENATORIAL DISTRICT, PLEDGED MAXIMUM SUPPORT FOR AKOGUN LERE OYEWUMI SENATORIAL AMBITION:

Akogun 4 Senate FRONTLINE Osun West Senatorial District Declare Support For Akogun Lere Oyewumi In Iwo.
Ahead of 2023 general elections, Osun West Senatorial District endorsed Dr Akogun Lere Oyewumi   on the 24th March 2022 in Iwo local government.  Youths and members of the FRONTLINE converged to welcome and assure him of their maximum support for his Senatorial ambition.
The BOT Chairman of AKOGUN 4 SENATE FRONTLINE in Osun West Senatorial District, Comrade Samakin Jelili Abiodun (ORIWO) expressed his pleasure for the life, career and character of Dr Akogun Lere Oyewumi, described him as an excellent man that is not common in the society, he noted that, FRONTLINE in Osun West set to be a good representative of DR AKOGUN LERE OYEWUMI in all the local government of Osun West and Osun state at a large.
Comrade Samakin also noted that all the Executives of the FRONTLINE in the 10 local government of Osun West Senatorial District; Ayedade, Isokan, Irewole, Olaoluwa, Ayedire,Iwo, Egbedore,Ede Ejigbo,Ede North and Ede South, unanimously agreed  to support the Candidacy of a Vibrant Politician, well-educated and grassroot man, and want Akogun Lere Oyewumi to be the Senator who will represent Osun West Senatorial District in 2023.
Dr Lere Oyewumi is a grassroot politician who understands the needs of the masses, an home base Political Apostle.  The people of Osun West are presently clamoring for good representative who will be accessible and ready to give back to the society and to the Voters in Osun West without any sentiment.
The Coordinator of FRONTLINE in Osun West, Comrade Ariyo Babatunde also gave his remarks, he appreciates all leaders Present at the program and also pledged to lead with good example and with integrity to deliver the task giving to him.
The faces of the people who grace the occasion clearly show that Akogun Lere Oyewumi is their choice in Osun West Senatorial District in the forthcoming general election.
 In his political sojourn, Dr Lere Oyewumi’s flair for politics began during his undergraduate days at OAU, Ife when he was elected national vice president of National Association of Nigeria Geography Students. He was also, at various times, secretary and president of the National Association of Ikire Students (NAIS) both at OAU Chapter and National body. In 1992, some five years after he left university, Oyewumi contested and, through the massive votes of his people in Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan Federal Constituency, won a seat in the House of Representatives, Abuja under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) whose presidential candidate was Bashorun MKO Abiola. He was a member of House Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development;and Chairman, Sub-Committee on National Agriculture Land Development Authority(NALDA).
The political instability of the period brought the Republic to an abrupt end. Subsequently, Akogun Oyewumi joined forces with other democrats to defend the country’s fledgling democracy. In June 12, Oyewumi became chairman of the Yoruba socio-cultural group Afenifere in Irewole Local Government and; he, together with other politicians and lovers of democracy, galvanised and articulated the message of “June 12” in every nook and cranny of Osun State. 
At the return of civilian rule in 1999, Akogun was made the publicity secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State. In 2004, after having served as a caretaker chairman of Irewole Local Government for one year, he was elected substantive chairman and served in this capacity until 2011, when the government of Governor Rauf Aregbesola dissolved the local councils in the state. Oyewumi, because of his stern leadership quality and exemplary achievements as local government chairman, was made the chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Osun State and vice president in the national executive, he was appointed Federal Commissioner for National Population Commission representing Osun State from 2012 to 2017. At NPC, he was the chairman of CARTOGRAPHY committee.
In his remark, AKOGUN LERE expressed his pleasure, excitements and readiness to serve the good people of Osun West Senatorial District and used the opportunity to ask the congregation of Osun West Voters that "Do you want me to Contest as Senator and they said YES, he also asked all the party leaders present that Do you want me to Contest as a Senator in Osun West and they also said YES". After all these, he promised not to disappoint the PDP members, the Leaders and said without mincing words that the Osun West Senatorial District  would no doubt feel effective and impactful representation while the project becomes feasible comes 2023.
Honorable Adesoye the state Treasurer of the People's Democratic Party PDP also used the opportunity to advise all party members and the FRONTLINE members to please make sure they collect their PVC before governorship election.

The Frontline youths in Osun West Senatorial District gave the reason why Akogun Lere Oyewumi is the best candidate for PDP as Osun West is concern.

FHA ED, Remi Omowaiye in Trouble over N150m MIST Fund Fraud

Former Commissioner for Works and the current Executive Director at the Federal Housing Authority, Remi Omowaiye is in fresh trouble over an alleged N150m MIST fund fraud when he served as the maiden Commissioner for the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Aregbesola administration. Feelers from the state government indicated that shocking details were uncovered on the FHA director during a contract review process on which he was already penciled down over a particular road contract. A source told our reporter that the money was meant for some information and communication gadgets to be shipped to Nigeria. Till date, there was no invoice nor any equipment from the transaction. IGP Egbetokun Conniving with Oyetola and Osun APC to assassinate Adeleke, PDP alleges

The leadership of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun of hobnobbing with the opposition All Progressives Congress to assassinate the state governor, Ademola Adeleke amid the crisis surrounding control of local government areas in the state. Addresing a press conference at the PDP secretariat in Osogbo, the party chairman, Sunday Bisi, alleged that Egbetokun gave sacked local government chairmen under the platform of APC security cover to take control of councils, saying the development was part of the plot to “get rid” of Governor Adeleke.
