Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has reaffirmed his commitment to the rehabilitation of more rural roads, as the dry season approaches. A statement by his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, said the motive is to ease movement of rural dwellers, who are predominantly farmers, to transport farm produce. He noted that Oyetola disclosed this during another edition of rural engagement meeting held at Sekona, Alajue, Olodan and other villages in Ede South Local Government. “Oyetola, represented by his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement,  Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, said his administration was aware that the rural dwellers were far from the centre of governance. “If more rural roads are attended to, the connection between villages and cities will be strong and as such the state will be contributing to the achievement of sustainable cities and communities, which is the 11th goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”

Hours to the commencement of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention, party leaders and governors are worried over the breakdown of the plan to pick officers through consensus. Former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola has refused to step down for Alhaji Taofeek Arapaja in the race for deputy national chairman (South). Oyinlola is being supported by some founding fathers of the party while Arapaja, the National Vice-Chairman (Southwest), is the candidate of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. This evening, Governor Gboyega Oyetola  joined colleagues at another meeting of the South-West Governors Forum which was hosted by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.  At the meeting, they discussed issues bordering on security, governance and development of our region in particular and the nation at large.  After the meeting, they paid a courtesy visit to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and an elder statesman, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his residence in Ikoyi. They used the opportunity to appreciate God for granting him sound health and his safe return to the country.  They prayed that God will continue to strengthen and preserve him for many years to come.

Sweet is the Memory of the Saint.  The commemoration morning mass graced by Wife,  Families and Friends was held at ST. Joseph Catholic Church Okua,  Osun State. Today, 18th October 2021. Holy communion service was a special feature at the Remembrance service.  Special prayers was said for the family and a prayer session was held in his honor at his grave side.  The Family also held a thanks giving for the grace of God keeping,  upholding and blessing the Family 17 years after the death of Pa.
