FHA ED, Remi Omowaiye in Trouble over N150m MIST Fund Fraud




Former Commissioner for Works and the current Executive Director at the Federal Housing Authority, Remi Omowaiye is in fresh trouble over an alleged N150m MIST fund fraud when he served as the maiden Commissioner for the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Aregbesola administration.

Feelers from the state government indicated that shocking details were uncovered on the FHA director during a contract review process on which he was already penciled down over a particular road contract.

A source told our reporter that the money was meant for some information and communication gadgets to be shipped to Nigeria.

Till date, there was no invoice nor any equipment from the transaction. An audit query was also reportedly raised on the matter but the matter was papered over during Mr Oyetola administration.

It was learnt that Omowaiye may soon be invited on the MIST fund disappearance as well as the concluded investigation on three questionable road projects involving infractions and misdemeanor.

IGP Egbetokun Conniving with Oyetola and Osun APC to assassinate Adeleke, PDP alleges

The leadership of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun of hobnobbing with the opposition All Progressives Congress to assassinate the state governor, Ademola Adeleke amid the crisis surrounding control of local government areas in the state.
