I will Contest for Election when the Coast is Clear: Hon. Samakin Abdul-Jeleel Abiodun (ORIWO)

With this my little Age we have, I've grown-up from Temples of Politics where Leaders Meet, Decide, Collaborate, Select, Strategizes, Plans and finally where the Grassroot Political Leaders and followers inferred on Political Permutations and also get things done.

Apart from being a son of Political Gladiator where I learnt comprehensive Local Strategic Politics and Human Relations, I also learn Campus' Politics when I was in School, that is, Higher Institution; I fully participated in School Politics and this gingered me more to be passionate about Politics and that is what I'm doing up till today.

Politics is not for a lazy person, it is an intuitive critical job and it require expanded and quality knowledge. It requires gathering of more knowledge and intelligence day-by-day which culminates to experience, from other Political Emeritus who are also personae non gratia with politics and that was why I chose Akogun Lere Oyewumi as my Leader. I really like him for his Political rustic knowledge and experience, he is a person that you can tap useful knowledge from, he is also well educated and a mentor for those who are passionate about Politics.

In recent time and in the past, I have gathered Political knowledge and also equipped myself with necessary requirements politically which prompted me to vie for any Political office in the future when needed. The experience gathered at the local level is very interesting and adventurous, this made me to understand voters, followers, Political leaders and even the strategy to defeat any opposition candidate and Political Party. This is where Community Relationship and Native Intelligence is required and to be keyed-in on Political Agenda.

Contesting for an Election or aspiring for Political Office is a Critical Decision, aside this, I don't think I can contest for Election without the majority ratification of my constituency, I want a situation whereby my people will decide and request that I should contest for elective position. I don't believe in do or die Politics, I believe in the grassroots Democratic System of Politics where the decision of the majority will stand.

Don't get me wrong, I am interested in aspirations to Political Office but I want the people of my constituency to be my nominator when the time comes and that is the reason, I said I can't contest now.

I want my people to have me nominated and whenever they needed my service Politically, this will motivate me instead of being forced to contest for a Political Office.

The current position I am holding which is the first Political appointment in my life under the leadership of the successful Adminstration of good governance piloted by His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, is not my personal aspiration, I was nominated by Leaders who are reputable with clean records, and who also noticed that I have laboured so hard in the struggle of Ìmólè Osun since 2017 till date.

We started PDP together in 1998, I am a card carrying member with my membership card signed by the first National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party PDP; (name)?. And since then, I have never left for once.

Although, in 2015 to 2016, I wanted to exit the party (PDP) for an important reason after the death of my late father, and the former Chairman PDP Ayedaade Local Government, Late Alhaji Yunus Samakin (ORIWO) who holds the structure of PDP in Ayedaade Local Government for good eight (8) solid years before his demise, without distractions and under the State Chairmanship of late Alhaji Rasaq Ademola (LANDERO), and even when All Progressive Congress (APC) was in power here in Osun State, I didn't left through Akogun Lere Oyewumi encouragement and his accommodation with all his capacity.

Some people will wonder why I usually mention Akogun Lere Oyewumi in all my Political Careers, yes, I will, because I can't forget his everlasting Political impact in my life.

Likewise the current Chief of Staff to the State Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, who usually fights and also stood for me as far as Adeleke Dynasty is concerned. I can't forget these two great leaders and I always listened to their instructions and advice when politics is involved, infact, I am proud of them.

I belong to the Adeleke Dynasty wholeheartedly (TỌKAN TỌKAN) and I won't, and will never negotiates my loyalty with Adeleke Dynasty to anyone and even for materiality.

If you want to succeed in Politics, you must have a credible Political Leader who will stand for and by you in all ramifications.

Those are the Leaders we valued so much, and we shall continue to articulate their Political impacts and we shall also leverage on their Political antecedent.

You will observed that Akogun Lere Oyewumi was endorsed by majority in Osun West Senatorial District before he picked his nomination form in 2019 and 2023, he didn't Lord himself on the People to contest for political office and that was why he finally succeeded. Because he was nominated by his People at his constituency and the majority too, you can see his progress and position at the National Level, this is the message we are passing, a person that was nominated by his people is different from the person contesting for elective post. A good Politician will understand this fact very well, this is not about pride, it is a fact of Political aspiration. Someone who contests for Election will see it as a do-or-die affair, but someone who is nominated by the majority of his people in his constituency will dedicate things to the creator, and the people who nominated him or her, with this, such a person will succeed seamlessly Politically.

My aspiration will come when the coast is clear, I don't want to contest for Election, I wanted to be nominated at the right time.

Currently I'm equipping myself with what will be useful to serve, the time will come for Political aspiration. I'm still serving my MENTORS, I'm currently discharging the duties that was assigned to me after the completion of the assigned job's, I shall work on projected plans on my aspiration.

I am ready to serve the people at the grassroot when the coast is clearer. I think this will be a comprehensive answer to those who asked me to aspire or contest for an elective post.
