OSHA Speakership: All Eyes On Adewale Egbedun:

One Osun lawmaker whom all eyes are on presently, as a new assembly speaker is about to be inaugurated in Osun State come May 29 this year, is Hon. Adewale Egbedun.
He is one of the 26 honorables who won their various constituencies in the recently concluded election in the state.

Prince Adewale Egbedun, you would recall,  not a new name in Osun state politics, He contested the 2019 OSHA election under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) but lost to the APC's candidate. The March 18 state house of assembly election, however, finally became the destiny fulfillment for a true navigator who was never deterred by his past failures.

The big news about Hon. Adewale Egbedun now is that he is being positioned to emerge speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly. In fact, this, we exclusively gathered, has been ratified.
Some say Adewale Egbedun may have been considered for this position due to zoning formula, which is said to have favoured Osun central zone and that he stands out as the clear choice for the position.
Not only that, but some also say his age (he is 38), and C.V must have played a prominent role in all these too.

Those who are familiar with happenings in Osun politics also believe that, if the Governor emerges from Osun West zone, Deputy Governor from Osun East zone, then the speakership should come from Osun Central zone in order to strike a balance.
Hon. Adewale Egbedun,  hails from Asi,  Odo-Otin, local government area of Osun state, a top businessman and great philanthropist, a graduate of Business Information from University of East London. We cooped, has been enjoying maximum support from his kinsmen and some top leaders of PDP in the State, assuring him of clinching the number three seat.

FHA ED, Remi Omowaiye in Trouble over N150m MIST Fund Fraud

Former Commissioner for Works and the current Executive Director at the Federal Housing Authority, Remi Omowaiye is in fresh trouble over an alleged N150m MIST fund fraud when he served as the maiden Commissioner for the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Aregbesola administration. Feelers from the state government indicated that shocking details were uncovered on the FHA director during a contract review process on which he was already penciled down over a particular road contract. IGP Egbetokun Conniving with Oyetola and Osun APC to assassinate Adeleke, PDP alleges

The leadership of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun of hobnobbing with the opposition All Progressives Congress to assassinate the state governor, Ademola Adeleke amid the crisis surrounding control of local government areas in the state.
