Obasanjo to Speak at Oke Ogun Youth Agric. Summit:

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will be speaking at this year edition of Oke Ogun Youth Agric. Summit holding on the 5th of August 2021 at Iseyin Town Hall, Iseyin in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State. This was according to the press statement signed by the Coordinator of Oke Ogun Youth Association, the organizers of the summit, Bola Olalere. The former President who is also the Special Guest of Honor at the event will be speaking on the theme of the Summit: Agribusiness and The Prosperity on Our Land.
Obasanjo who is the founder of Obasanjo farms, a pioneer agribusiness venture in the country believes that Nigeria can grow enough food to feed the nation, and will be sharing his wealth of experience with Oke Ogun youths who are leading an Agric revolution in the region.

Other speakers expected at the summit includes; Otunba Bamidele Dada, a former Minister of Agriculture, Retired Brig. Gen Kunle Toogun, the Chairman, Oyo State Security Networks (Amotekun) who will be speaking on tackling the Security Challenges facing farmers these days, Alhaji Ahmed Raji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Farmer Kola Adeniji, Chairman, Niji Farms, African Biggest cassava grower.

According to Olalere, OkeOgun Green Revolution is an initiative of Oke-Ogun Youths Association aiming at encouraging young people to engage in profitable, sustainable and commercial agriculture by creating a platform that will generate networks that will make the work easier and interesting to them.
“This Summit is a platform to bring all the stakeholders in the Agric. Business together to discuss, network and jointly unearth the prosperity of Oke Ogun.” The statement reads.

Brig. Gen. Kunle Toogun Rtd. The current Chairman Oyo State SECURITY Networks, (Amotekun), will be speaking on  Combating the Security Challenges facing Farmers at OkeOgun Youth Agric. Summit 2021.

FHA ED, Remi Omowaiye in Trouble over N150m MIST Fund Fraud

Former Commissioner for Works and the current Executive Director at the Federal Housing Authority, Remi Omowaiye is in fresh trouble over an alleged N150m MIST fund fraud when he served as the maiden Commissioner for the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Aregbesola administration. Feelers from the state government indicated that shocking details were uncovered on the FHA director during a contract review process on which he was already penciled down over a particular road contract. A source told our reporter that the money was meant for some information and communication gadgets to be shipped to Nigeria. Till date, there was no invoice nor any equipment from the transaction. IGP Egbetokun Conniving with Oyetola and Osun APC to assassinate Adeleke, PDP alleges

The leadership of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun of hobnobbing with the opposition All Progressives Congress to assassinate the state governor, Ademola Adeleke amid the crisis surrounding control of local government areas in the state.
