Security: Governor Adeleke Rehabilitates 11 Armoured Personnel Carriers Abandoned by Ex-Governor Oyetola for Four Years

Governor Ademola Adeleke is almost completing the rehabilitation of 11 out of 22 Personnel Armoured Careers (PACs) acquired by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola and abandoned for four years by former government of Mr Gboyega Oyetola. The governor, worried by the abandonment of the PACs which are rusting away directed rehabilitation in batches with the first 11 carriers now nearing the final stage of rehabilitation. On the carriers are boldly written “rehabilitated by Governor Ademola Adeleke” with the Governor waiting to launch the second phase immediately after the final rehabilitation and upgrade of the first 11. “In line with my vow never to abandon any inherited projects, I have approved the rehabilitation of the Armoured Personnel Carriers in phases. The second Edition of Fidelity Foodbank in collaboration with Esther Adeleke Humanitarian Foundation, held at the Modakeke Civic Centre , took another bold step towards eradicating hunger in Osun State by successfully distributed food items to over 2,500 vulnerable individuals across the Ile-Ife and Modakeke areas. The crowd was overwhelming, to the glory of God, no casualty was recorded. The event marked yet another significant milestone in our collective efforts to combat food insecurity within the state. President Bola Tinubu extends warm felicitations to the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his 65th birthday on May 13. The President notes that the Peoples Democratic Party governor has created a niche for himself as a politician of reckoning not only in Osun State but also across the country and beyond. Adeleke was first elected Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District in 2017, taking over from his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, before becoming governor in 2022. Adeleke commissions three fire trucks for Osun Fire Service

Governor Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday, commissioned three fire trucks his administration procured for the use of the Osun State Fire Service. Speaking at the Osun State Fire Service, Osogbo, Adeleke said he was deeply concerned by the bad state of the fire service facilities, hence, his commitment to strengthening fire safety and emergency response services in the state. According to him, “The last procurement of fire trucks had occurred over fourteen (14) years ago, a situation that was both alarming and unacceptable. I knew that immediate and strategic intervention was necessary. “Today, I am proud to announce that this administration has taken decisive steps to revive the Osun State Fire Service. ● I'm Fulfilling Electoral Promises - Governor Adeleke Governor Ademola Adeleke has achieved another milestone in fulfilling his electoral promises as Osun state is now ranked 7th in national examinations from its 33rd position in early 2022. Governor Adeleke had during the 2022 governorship campaign promised to take Osun to a single digit ranking in national examinations, a vow he is keeping with the new report titled  “Standard Educational Performance Ranking of States in 2024 SSCE” from the National Examinations Council (NECO). According to an internal release on the development from the Commissioner for Education, Hon Dipo Eluwole, the report confirmed Governor Adeleke's commitment to restoring Osun state education sector to its academic leadership that the state once occupied from its creation in 1991.
