MEET NIGERIA’S NEW SERVICE CHIEFS   CHIEF OF AIR STAFF: Vice Marshal Isiaka Amao, was born on 14 September 1965 at Enugu. He hails from Oshogbo in LGA of Osun State. He enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force on January 19, 1984 as a member of the 35 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy. Ex-Service Chiefs   President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Service Chiefs. A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said he has named the replacements for the sacked chiefs. The new Service Chiefs are: Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff. This was announced on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who noted that the service chiefs have also retired from service. Those involved are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar. Thinking God for the successful commissioning of project, The University Pastor, Olugbenga Efuntade noted that the project was done to help people, not to spite government. It has zero political inuando. The water project was commissioned by Professor Adebola, the Vice Chancellor Adeleke University Ede. The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the internal Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE) results with a two per cent increase of candidates who made five credits and above in all subjects. The Council also derecognised 12 schools for their involvement in mass cheating and whole school cases of malpractice. The Registrar, Professor Godswill Obioma, announced these at the NECO Headquarters in Minna. He said the schools derecignised include four schools in Adamawa, two in kaduna, two in Kastina, Two in Niger, one in Taraba and one in FCT. He said that 24 supervisors were blacklisted for various offences ranging from poor supervision, aiding and abetting, connivance with non candidates to write answers on chalkboards.

Nigerian record label boss and music executive, David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, has finally joined the Adeleke family enterprise, Pacific Holdings Limited. The singer, 28, hinted at the new development on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in a post via his verified Twitter account. He shared a photo of Pacific Holdings logo and wrote; “omo nah 2021 o I dun dey chook head small small” A check on the company’s website shows that it has been updated to include ‘‘David Adeleke” on its board of directors. This means that the award-winning musician is joining his father and brother, Wale on the board. This is as the Minister of Interior, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has been warned that the continuous tenure elongation by him for the heads of the nation’s paramilitary agencies are not only illegal but detrimental to the overall development and career progression of the personnel. The CEOs have exceeded the mandatory ages and years in the services and had their tenures extended last year by the Minister of Interior.
